WEDDING

Sophie and Calum’s wedding at Margam Park Orangery was a celebration of love, tradition and romance. The Margam Park Orangery is a dream wedding venue, offering an exquisite blend of historic charm and grand elegance. With its majestic architecture, expansive gardens, and picturesque ruins, it provides the perfect setting for a timeless wedding celebration in South Wales.

An Elegant Colour Palette With A Pop Of Colour

Sophie’s carefully chosen colour palette of gold, champagne/oyster, ivory/cream, and blush pink set the tone for an effortlessly elegant day. Every detail, from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the floral arrangements, reflected this soft and luxurious combination, creating a wedding aesthetic that felt both classic and refined.

Bridal Beauty and Dress Details

Sophie looked stunning in her Gaia wedding dress, with intricate details and a long train. Her bridal look was perfected by Alys Williams from House of Hair, who styled her hair into an romantic ringlets and Kirsty Rowlands Makeup, ensured a flawless, radiant bridal glow.

A Bouquet of Sentiment – Lily of the Valley

A particularly heartfelt element of the day was the bride’s choice of lily of the valley for her bouquet. This flower was a meaningful tribute to her beloved grandmother, who had also carried lily of the valley in her wedding bouquet. Beyond its sentimental significance, the flower symbolises purity, happiness, and a return to joy, making it a fitting choice for such a special occasion. All the beautiful bouquets were designed by Florrie & Jo

A Ceremony Filled with Music and Emotion

The couple’s wedding ceremony took place at St John the Baptist Church, not far from their home in Newton, a setting that added to the beauty and sacredness of their vows. The service was nothing short of magical, with music provided by the renowned Maesteg Gleemen, a male voice choir that held deep personal significance to the bride’s family, as her father is a member. Their voices filled the church with harmonies that created an atmosphere of warmth and celebration, making the ceremony all the more special.

The Orangery at Margam Park – A Stunning Reception Setting

Following the heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests made their way to the Orangery at Margam Park, where the celebrations continued in spectacular fashion. The grand windows and high ceilings of the Orangery allowed natural light to pour in, enhancing the gold, champagne, and blush tones of the reception décor.

Once again, the Maesteg Gleemen Choir serenaded the couple and their guests, making for an emotional and joyous moment that beautifully bridged family tradition with contemporary elegance.
