I photograph weddings throughout the Cotswolds, including some of its most beautiful country houses and estates. What I love most is the variety — elegant interiors and manicured gardens for beautiful portraits, alongside all the spontaneous moments happening around them.
My approach blends gentle direction when it’s needed with a documentary instinct for everything that unfolds naturally. The result is timeless, heartfelt photography that feels polished without ever feeling overly posed.
After photographing more than 300 weddings, I know that the photographs you treasure most are often a mixture of both: the beautiful portraits you imagined and the little moments you never even knew were happening.

I’ve photographed weddings at some beautiful venues across the Cotswolds, each with its own character and incredible places to photograph. Here are a few of my favourites.

The Italian Gardens are one of my favourite places to photograph at The Manor House. I love the symmetry of the stone steps, the soft Cotswold stone and all the greenery surrounding them. They have that slightly old-world, romantic feel that photographs beautifully, particularly for portraits that feel elegant without being overly formal.

I have a bit of an obsession with trailing ivy, so Hyde House was always going to be a favourite. The Cotswold stone almost disappears beneath it in places, with beautiful gardens and greenery creating the loveliest backdrops for photographs. It has that slightly wild, romantic quality I love — elegant, but never too manicured or formal.

For me, the Orangery is what makes Tortworth Court so special. Flooded with natural light beneath its incredible glass roof, it’s such a beautiful setting for a wedding breakfast and one of those spaces that really has a sense of occasion. Outside, the grand Victorian architecture, the stone steps and acres of greenery give you a completely different backdrop.

I have a real weakness for a beautiful staircase, and Eastington Park has one of my favourites. I love photographing it from above, using the sweeping curve and delicate ironwork to frame the moment below. Add flowers trailing along the bannister and it becomes even more beautiful — romantic, elegant and completely timeless.

There’s something magical about the approach to Lucknam Park. The long, tree-lined avenue gives you that wonderful sense of arriving somewhere completely hidden away. I love the scale of the grounds, the beautiful old trees and the quiet corners around the estate — it feels grand and luxurious, but still wonderfully romantic and secluded.

The greenery, huge old trees, stone walls and beautiful old buildings. There are layers and texture everywhere you look. I especially love when ivy has been allowed to trail across an old stone building — it makes the most beautiful backdrop for photographs.

WHAT TIME OF YEAR IS BEST FOR A COTSWOLDS WEDDING?
The Cotswolds is beautiful in every kind of weather. Many of its country houses have gorgeous interiors, large windows, covered spaces and beautiful architecture, so there are always plenty of options for photographs. I’ll quietly adapt the plan around the weather so you don't need to worry about it.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER ISN'T GREAT?
Natural moments with an editorial eye. I’ll give you direction when you need it, but for most of the day I want you to forget about the camera and enjoy your wedding. The result is photographs that feel polished, timeless and still completely like you.
WHAT IS YOUR STYLE OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?
Usually around 15–20 minutes at a time is plenty. I often split portraits into two short sessions — one earlier in the day and another later when the light softens. It means you get beautiful portraits without disappearing from your wedding for ages.
HOW MUCH TIME DO WE NEED FOR COUPLE PORTRAITS?
Absolutely. I photograph weddings throughout the Cotswolds and surrounding countryside, from Castle Combe and Tetbury to venues across Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Travel within the Cotswolds is all part of the experience.

There really isn't a bad one. Spring brings blossom and fresh greenery, summer has long evenings and beautiful gardens, while autumn gives the Cotswolds those gorgeous warm tones against the stone. Even winter weddings can feel incredibly romantic in the old country houses.
I’ve photographed more than 300 weddings, and I still love that no two ever feel the same. What matters most to me is creating photographs that are beautiful, but that also bring you straight back to how your wedding actually felt.
My approach is relaxed and instinctive. I’ll give you direction when you need it, then step back when you don’t — looking for the little moments happening around you, the beautiful light, the laughter, the people you love and all the things you might not even notice on the day.
I have a particular love for old country houses, beautiful gardens, trailing ivy and all that gorgeous Cotswolds greenery — so photographing weddings here feels very much at home.
