The Best Rosemary Sugared Cranberry Cocktail

Did you know that the most popular time to get engaged is Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Whether you are planning a winter proposal or looking for your signature wedding cocktail here is a great rosemary sugared cranberry cocktail recipe.

Rosemary Sugared Cranberry Cocktail

So if you have just got engaged or are planning a winter wedding how a divine rosemary sugared cranberry cocktail for your guests!

Ingredients for the Garnish

1 Packet of fresh Cranberries (I add some blueberries too)

1 Packet of fresh rosemary sprigs

1/2 cup water

1 cup sugar ( 1/2 cup for syrup, 1/2 cup for frosting )

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, mix water and 1/2 cup sugar, stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Do not boil. Remove from heat and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Stir in rosemary sprigs,  until coated. Using a slotted spoon, transfer rosemary sprigs onto parchment paper or a wire rack. Allow to dry for at least one hour.

Repeat with cranberries (and blueberries).

Once dry, place in a separate bowl add remaining sugar and dust a few sprigs at a time, shake the bowl until the rosemary is well coated. Place sugared sprigs on a new sheet of parchment. Allow to dry for at least one hour.

Repeat with the cranberries (and blueberries).

Ingredients for Cocktail

1 Measures of Gin

1/5 Measure Cointreau (a splash)

2-3 Measure Cranberry Juice

Ice cubes crushed

Sugar for glass rim

Instructions

Add gin, cointreau and cranberry juice to cocktail shaker with crushed ice and shake or stir the 3 ingredients and pour over crushed ice into the sugar rimmed glasses. Garnish with sugared berries and rosemary.
