There’s a quiet kind of magic to a Mickleton Hills Farm wedding — that soft Cotswold light, the golden stone barns, and the way everything feels both timeless and effortless. Located just outside Chipping Campden, this family-run venue is a dream for couples who want a relaxed countryside celebration with a touch of editorial elegance.
As a Cotswolds wedding photographer, I’m always drawn to Mickleton Hills Farm. Every wedding here unfolds differently — full of honest moments, real laughter, and the kind of storytelling that only this place can hold.
The morning began quietly in the stone cottages overlooking the courtyard. There was laughter, music, and that tangible excitement that only a wedding morning brings. The bridesmaids wore soft blush pink dresses, perfectly echoing the romantic palette of the day. The bride’s gown, with its delicate dotted tulle and flowing veil, caught the light beautifully — simple, elegant, and full of movement.

The ceremony took place inside the beautifully restored barn at Mickleton Hills Farm, filled with trailing greenery and soft pink and ivory blooms. The floral arch framed the couple perfectly against the warm brick backdrop. It was a space that felt intimate, personal, and full of heart.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds stepped out into the courtyard to a shower of confetti and applause. These are always some of my favourite moments to photograph — spontaneous, joyful, and completely unposed. The Cotswold stone buildings and open sky made the perfect backdrop for storytelling images full of energy and connection.

As the afternoon gave way to evening, guests gathered under the soft glow of the barn’s lights. Children played among the gravel paths, laughter echoed from the courtyard, and the golden hour light washed everything in warmth. Mickleton Hills Farm truly comes alive at this time of day — that effortless blend of countryside calm and understated elegance.

As a photographer, I’m drawn to places that let stories breathe — and Mickleton Hills Farm does just that. The flow between spaces, the textures of stone and greenery, the soft light — it all allows for authentic, editorial-style imagery that reflects real connection.

If you’re planning a Cotswolds barn wedding, this venue is an incredible canvas to tell your story your way — relaxed, heartfelt, and beautifully real.
If you’re getting married at Mickleton Hills Farm, I’d love to document it for you. My approach is natural and storytelling-focused, capturing the moments you’ll want to relive — not just the way it looked, but how it felt.
