Intimate Wedding Photography
In these uncertain times many couples are downsizing their wedding day plans to meet with their local area regulations. I have been fortunate enough to capture a few of these intimate mini weddings, so what exactly is an intimate wedding and how many hours of wedding photography coverage will you require?
What is an intimate Wedding?
Quite simply, an intimate wedding has less than 30 guests and is shorter in length than a traditional wedding. Not to be confused with an ‘elopement wedding’, in this case the couple often marry in secret, with only the officiant and their photographer present. However, with most things these days it really is up to you what your wedding day looks like.
What are the benefits of an Intimate Wedding?
One of the main benefits to reducing your guest list is that you have a bigger budget to play with. You can be really intentional and focus on your guest experience with plenty of attention to detail. Consider splashing out on items such as an exquisite 5 course meal, premium champagne or award winning floral design.
How about really spoiling your guests, perhaps hiring your venue exclusively. This is the perfect way to spend quality time with each and every one of your friends and family and many venues they organise a scrumptious post wedding day breakfast for you all to enjoy! My brides have bought two wedding dresses for their day, preferring a formal gown for the ceremony and changing into a relaxed dress for the reception. Oh, and of course that means two pairs of Jimmy Choos!!
How to plan an Intimate Wedding?
Depending on where you are getting married your venue may have an in house wedding planner if not, investing in a planner/wedding stylist is a great option to help you execute your vision.
How much photography coverage will we need?
Once you have your ceremony time we can work out exactly what you would like captured and how many hours coverage you will require. You may decide to have some of your preparation captured before the ceremony. Do you want to do a first look? After the ceremony would you like family formals and bridal party images? When you have your couples portraits would you like some editorial images of your wedding dress? So many things to consider!
