As a wedding photographer, I’m always struck by how beautifully the venue flows. From relaxed preparations in the elegant bridal suite to ceremonies bathed in natural light, every space is designed with both atmosphere and movement in mind. The iconic Centre Hall staircase, ornate drawing rooms, and panoramic views across the gardens provide endless opportunities for refined, natural wedding photography.
Hedsor House offers that rare combination — architectural grandeur and complete privacy. The long driveway, manicured grounds, and classic Georgian façade create a sense of occasion from the moment you arrive, while the exclusive setting allows couples to truly relax and be present. For wedding photography at Hedsor House, it’s a venue that delivers elegance, light, and effortless storytelling in every season.
It’s the morning of your wedding at Hedsor House, and soft light filters through the tall Georgian windows as guests arrive along the sweeping private drive. Set high above the Thames Valley, Hedsor feels secluded and serene — an exclusive-use country house where everything unfolds effortlessly. Champagne glasses clink on the South Terrace, laughter drifts across the lawns, and the grandeur of the house creates a backdrop that is both timeless and quietly spectacular.
THE PERFECT VENUE
Having photographed many weddings at Hedsor, I’ve come to know the house and grounds intimately. There are so many beautiful, elegant backdrops to choose from. Here are some of my favourites
The symmetry and columns make it unmistakably Hedsor. It’s classic, timeless, and especially beautiful later in the day when the light softens. Perfect for editorial couple portraits, champagne spray and family group photos
This is arguably the most recognisable space inside Hedsor House. The soaring ceilings, ornate detailing, and sweeping staircase create that quintessential “country house grandeur” moment.
The terrace overlooks the Thames Valley and feels completely private. It’s where champagne receptions happen — and where golden hour is particularly special. It gives that elevated, exclusive-use estate feel that defines wedding photography at Hedsor.
The sweeping staircase is one of Eastington Park’s most iconic features. The most meaningful images are captured naturally, as you descend for your ceremony — an unposed moment full of anticipation, movement, and emotion.
Soft window light, elegant furnishings, and calm atmosphere make these spaces ideal for morning preparations and intimate portraits. Perfect for dress reveal, editorial portraits getting ready and relaxing with your friends and family before the ceremony.
The Terraced Gardens at Hedsor House are ideal for a first look, offering a sense of privacy with beautiful symmetry and soft, flattering light. Framed by layered stonework and the Georgian façade above, the space feels both intimate and unmistakably Hedsor.
The sweeping driveway builds anticipation from the moment guests arrive. Tree-lined and beautifully seasonal, it photographs beautifully year-round. Perfect for classic cars and couple walking photos.

southern charm meets english elegance
The South Terrace at Hedsor House is the perfect spot for sunset portraits. Overlooking the Thames Valley, it catches the soft, golden evening light beautifully, Because it’s just steps from the reception, we can slip away for 10–15 minutes without missing the atmosphere.
Hedsor House photographs beautifully in all weather. The Centre Hall, grand staircase, and elegant drawing rooms provide light-filled interiors with plenty of spaces for portraits if plans move indoors. The large sash windows and neutral interiors are stunning.
I usually suggest a spot close to the drinks reception, often at the front of the house or on the South Terrace. Both areas offer symmetry and beautiful light while keeping you near your guests, so group portraits feel efficient and relaxed rather than disruptive.
Around 15–20 minutes at a time is perfect. The terrace, terraced gardens, and front façade are all within a short walking distance, so we can create a varied gallery without long walks or overly posed moments. I often suggest splitting portraits into two short sessions — one earlier in the day at the front of the house and another at golden hour on the South Terrace.
Yes — Hedsor House is offered on an exclusive-use basis. This means you and your guests have private access to the house for the duration of your wedding day. The long private driveway, secluded setting, and complete privacy allow everything to feel relaxed and uninterrupted.
Yes — the bridal suite at Hedsor House is beautifully light and spacious, with large windows that create soft, natural light throughout the morning. Hair and makeup can take place separately, keeping the suite calm and uncluttered for those quiet moments of getting into your dress. The elegant interiors make it ideal for refined editorial portraits.
My style blends fine art and storytelling with a polished, timeless aesthetic. I create images that feel authentic yet refined, capturing the candid emotions and intimate details of your day with a magazine-worthy quality.
My approach is natural, allowing the day to unfold organically while offering gentle direction when needed. With an eye for composition, light, and detail, my editing prioritises natural-looking skin tones with a subtle, lightly airbrushed finish, creating a polished yet true-to-you look.
