Gileston Manor is a grade II listed Georgian manor house located in the small village of Gileston, Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. The Manor has a long history, some parts dating back to medieval times and provides the perfect backdrop for your wedding day.

The gardens include a beautiful 18th Century Walled Garden with a beautiful Summer House to say your vows. Sunset photographs can be taken with hay bales in the distance and views across the Bristol estuary.

It's the day of your wedding and sunlight is streaming through the majestic cypress trees, while lavender blows gently in the walled garden. In the distance you catch a glimpse of this beautiful Georgian Manor House...

"Our wedding day was exactly what we wanted and we wouldn't have had it any other other way! It's important to remember why you are getting married. For us, it was being together for the rest of our lives and celebrating our love with those closest to us.

The Stables, and the Bridal Suite 'The Apple Store' is the perfect place to get ready on your wedding day morning. The courtyard and its pretty rose garden provide a beautiful backdrop to photograph your details capture some editorial portraits with your bridal party. In addition, this is a lovely space for a dress reveal.

THE ROSE GARDEN

For the Groom and his groomsmen, I meet them just before the ceremony to document the details of the Grooms attire and some candid moments. The walled garden keeps a distance between the Bride and Groom and allows for photographs without any sneak peeks. Alternatively if you would like a 'First Look' the gardens are the perfect romantic spot for this.

THE WALLED GARDEN

For smaller intimate weddings the summer house inside the secret garden can seat up to 50 guests. This 18th century walled garden is the perfect location for your celebratory confetti walk and a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony photographs.

THE SUMMER HOUSE

There are so many stunning backdrops for your romantic wedding day portraits at Gileston Manor you really are spoilt for choice. I recommend a short stroll throughout the grounds visiting the walled garden, the chapel and the folly with breathtaking views of the Jurassic coast.

THE ESTATE

You can host up to 50 guests for an exquisite wedding breakfast in the secret garden. The light inside is perfect allowing for stunning images of the speeches and toasts. The grand floor length table gives this space an intimate and luxurious quality.

 REAL COUPLE

Do they allow for fireworks or sparklers?

I always consider the time of the year you are getting married to make the most of the natural light. Sunsets at Gileston Manor are beautiful, it's just a short drive to the beach. I would recommend 20 minutes of portraits in and around the estate during cocktail hour and 10 minutes before sunset in the fields or at the beach.

How long should we plan to take bride & groom portraits?

The wedding ceremony is the main focus of your day. It is important to consider how the timing of your ceremony will impact on the rest of your itinerary. I recommend between 1 – 2.30pm for your ceremony, this allows enough time to get ready in the morning without feeling rushed, with plenty of time for food, drink and celebrations!

What time should we schedule our ceremony to begin?

Yes, definitely! The accommodation is beautiful. The top floor of the The Apple Store and The Coach House accommodations interconnect and are perfect for the bride and bridesmaids the night before the wedding, with plenty of space to get ready in the morning.
