Editorial Style Engagement Photos

May 20, 2021

Editorial style engagement photos are a series of effortless, natural portraits with an eye on editorial details fit for magazine publication.

“Have you seen Bridgerton?” asked my client! “No, not yet” I replied, “Can we capture our engagement session at Lady Danbury’s House?” Sammy sent me an instagram image of the Holburne Museum in Bath. It’s stunning and the perfect backdrop for an editorial style engagement photo shoot!

This breathtaking building is even more impressive in real life. The grand façade and gardens are impeccable. The Grade I listed building was originally designed and constructed as a hotel but is now home to a collection of fine and decorative art. It recently featured on ‘Bridgerton’ the new Netflix period series. Lady Danbury’s house is where the first ball of the season is held.

I feel like I have known Sammy and Josh for years. Like so many couples they have had to postpone their wedding plans 3 times. Their editorial engagement session felt extra special having it at this beautiful location.

Sammy chose this lovely classic white dress from Inthestyle. I am so glad because it photographed beautifully. I thought we would face a few obstacles, like the wind and rain but my weather angels were at work and the sun shone brightly for us. This was such a dreamy shoot. I loved every minute working with this gorgeous couple and cannot wait to capture their wedding day!
