Eastington Park Proposal
It was my honour to take Ellie and Tom’s Eastington Park proposal photos. I have always wanted to capture a romantic proposal with a beautiful backdrop. As the photographer, I felt it was important that the proposal was captured candidly, this way Ellie and Tom could be present for their fairytale moment.
I loved every minute working with this gorgeous couple.
Ellie’s had always wanted an album of her and Tom’s love story, a printed book that documented their romance from start to finish. Ellie chose a colour palette of blush and ivory, wanting a timeless, feminine and romantic feel. They chose the grounds of Eastington Park in Gloucester to celebrate their engagement. Ellie made a Michelin star worthy picnic of decadent treats including pink macaroons and white chocolate dipped strawberries.
The floral design was installed by Stephanie of Stephanie Saunders Flowers. She created a full archway bursting with seasonal favourites for a romantic summers day.
Peonies, roses and hydrangeas smothered the crescent structure. Stephanie softened the look with delicate sweet peas and a hint of foliage.
“It was important to keep a feminine and summery vibe to the florals. A luxury but delicate design was used to enhance the natural beauty of Eastington Park for the proposal. Ellie’s bouquet was to echo the style of the arch. Lots of volume with a gentle fluffiness. Blowsy peonies and roses were packed into the posy with sweet peas dancing on the surface.” – Stephanie
The ring was designed by Northern Star jewellers in Penarth, South Wales
Ellie wore a tiered blush gown from Monique Lhuillier paired with blush and lilac appliqué heels by Badgley Mischka. The dress looked beautiful as Tom and Ellie danced under the floral archway.
The dress also provided the perfect backdrop for some detailed shots of her fabulous engagement ring.
Music was provided by Sue and Lloyd with a white baby grand piano and saxophone playing their favourite tunes whilst Tom popped the question.
