Are you planning the wedding of your dreams and looking for the perfect welsh wedding venue? I love, love love Gileston manor secret garden weddings. This stunning grade II listed Georgian manor house located in the small village of Gileston, Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales really is one of the most beautiful wedding venues.
Take a scroll through Hollie and Dominic’s elopement wedding below to see just how pretty this estate is. Timeless wedding photo opportunities are abundant. It really is a photographers dream. So here are some of my favourite spots within this beautiful Manor house that make it such a perfect Welsh wedding venue. Here are 5 reasons to tie the knot at Gileston Manor
1. The Apple Store
The Apple Store is a beautifully decorated light and airy room to get ready in and capture all the special details on the morning of your day. This elegant first floor apartment has a real luxury feel when you are stepping into your perfectly planned outfit.
2. The Rose Garden
If you are considering a dress reveal to your Dad and Bridesmaids or even having a ‘First Look’ the beautiful ‘Rose Garden’ is the perfect location. The courtyard and its pretty roses provide a wonderful backdrop to photograph editorial portraits with your bridal party. It is a private space away from guests and really is a lovely space for a dress reveal.
3. The 18th Century Walled Garden
For smaller intimate weddings the summer house inside the secret garden can seat up to 50 guests. This 18th century walled garden is the perfect location for your celebratory confetti walk and a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony photographs. Bright white washed walls with gold accents allow for beautiful photos during the exchange of rings and signing the register. Outside you get a sense that you are celebrating in the grounds of an Italian villa surrounded by cypress trees and an apple orchard.
4. A romantic walk around the Estate
There are so many stunning backdrops for your romantic wedding day portraits at Gileston Manor you really are spoilt for choice. I recommend a short stroll throughout the grounds visiting the walled garden, the chapel and the folly with breathtaking views of the Jurassic coast. For Hollie and Dominic we stopped at the Cheese House and made our way to the front of the Main Manor house for a beautiful wide shot of the mansion
5. Gileston Manor Secret Garden
You can host up to 50 guests for an exquisite wedding breakfast in the secret garden. The light inside is perfect allowing for stunning images of the speeches and toasts. The grand floor length table gives this space an intimate and luxurious quality.
